Haier America Opens New North American HQ
Joined by state officials and business leaders, Haier America opened its new headquarters in Wayne, New Jersey. Haier America, a subsidiary of the multinational Haier Group and global company in home appliances and consumer electronics, moved from its Manhattan headquarters to a newly retrofitted 56,000 square-foot facility.
The move brings 200 staff members to New Jersey as the company seeks to be a part of the state's burgeoning business climate and relocate to a facility that allows the company to grow as it increases its U.S. foot print. Adrian Micu, president and CEO of Haier America, made the announcement to the public and the entire U.S. employee base from the Headquarters new General Assembly room which houses 125 theatre-style seating, a 30-seat conference table and floor to ceiling projection screens.
"Haier America is committed to become a brand-name presence in the U.S. and as we realize new growth and our repositioning in this market, the new headquarters will allow us to accommodate that expansion," states Micu.
"Haier has set forth a new vision for the organization, repositioning our U.S. market strategy so that consumers will come to view our product line as more than a series of individual, quality appliances," adds Micu. "Through increased awareness and confidence among American consumers in the Haier brand, they will come to realize Haier as the consumer choice for complete home solutions."
Currently, Haier maintains over 350 employees directly within the United States – about 200 of which are now located in the new Wayne, New Jersey headquarters. These employees include several work sectors: legal services; marketing; human resources; information technology; consumer services; research and development; finance; sales; business units; and operations.
