Coke Adopts Global SFA Platform

The Coca-Cola Company selects CAS AG to provide sales force automation solutions to its bottler network, as part of the Program Scale Mobile Customer Management (MCM) initiative.

According to Tom Miller, general manager of Program Scale and vice president, Bottling Investments for The Coca-Cola Company, the program is designed to provide company-owned and franchise bottlers with a common set of business processes under the Coke One operating model, using the SAP platform. MCM is designed to take the power of scale to the next level -- extending Coke One to include advanced customer facing capabilities, particularly in the area of mobile customer management.

"The CAS 'front office' solution will help us to further leverage our investment in the SAP 'back office' and will serve our bottlers by helping their field sales force get closer to their customers, increase revenue and improve sales efficiency," Miller says. "CAS was the only company that could provide us with the global mobility capabilities that we need to support our bottler network. Essentially, their solution has the built-in flexibility to enable our bottlers in established markets as well as emerging markets. We can provide the solution to them on the mobile device that best suits their needs."

Targeting local mobile bottler work forces around the world, the CAS mobility solution will be used for planning, sales and distribution tracking, surveys and business intelligence. Integrated with the back office, the solution is expected to provide a comprehensive and dynamic view of what is happening with each customer.
