Walmart Makes U.S. Management Changes
Greg Foran, president and CEO of Walmart U.S., and COO Judith McKenna announce some important management changes, according to Forbes. Mike Moore, EVP of the Neighborhood Market division (with stores of 40,000 square feet) has been promoted to EVP of the 180,000 square foot Supercenter division. EVP Julie Murphy, former Walmart West EVP has taken Mike Moore’s former position.
Additionally, Foran and McKenna have eliminated the executive level which supervised Walmart East and Walmart West. Julie Murphy’s position will not be filled and Joaquin Gonzales Varela, EVP of Walmart East has left the company. The whole U.S. operation now reports directly to McKenna, similar to the merchandising division that now reports directly to Foran.
