Walmart Integrates Product Content Across Channels

Walmart’s API has integrated with product information provider Gladson.  Serving as a one-stop shop to ensure products are represented in Walmart’s digital ecosystem, Gladson will capture, host and deliver product content on behalf of manufacturers and according to Walmart’s requirements for data attributes and formats.
 
By working with Gladson, brands are offered a suite of product content services, including product photography and attribute capture; the hosting of manufacturer-provided product content; ongoing product content updates; and content syndication and delivery.
 
Gladson’s direct integration to Walmart brings significant advantages to manufacturers, offering brand owners choice and flexibility in how their content is uploaded and distributed through the Gladson network.  Walmart is also better prepared to offer its shoppers high-quality product content across channels.
 
“Our goal is to provide the most accurate, up-to-date and comprehensive product information to our customers — regardless of how they shop — to improve the shopping experience for our customers,” stated Ram Rampalli, global head of content acquisition for @WalmartLabs, in this blog post.
