Tito's Vodka Makes First Acquisition: Lalo Tequila
Tito's Handmade Vodka will acquire a majority stake in Lalo Tequila. It's the first acquisition for the vodka company.
Lalo was co-founded by Eduardo "Lalo" González, David "R" Carballido and Jim McDermott, bringing together three generations of tradition in tequila-making.
The product uses just three ingredients (agave, well water and champagne yeast) to create a distinctive flavor. The brand has a loyal following that drives word-of-mouth sales.

Through the transaction, Lalo gains sales support and can tap into a larger distribution network so it can accelerate growth, scaling from local to global markets. González will continue to lead production for Lalo Tequila.
Tito Beveridge, the founder of Tito's Handmade Vodka, said in a statement that the companies align on how they do business — keeping it simple rather than being flashy, and caring about "the juice."
The global tequila market is poised for growth, valued at more than $11 billion in 2024 and projected to grow to $18.58 billion by 2032, according to Fortune Business Insights.
In the U.S. alone, it is projected to reach $7.44 billion by 2032 — with North America proving to be one of the largest markets for tequila.
