Tesco CIO Resigns, Replacement Not Yet Announced
Tesco CIO Colin Cobain will step down from his post at the end of November 2007. In his six years at the retail giant, Cobain was responsible for managing the IT division and developing the IT strategy for achieving global growth objectives such as the recent IT implementation behind Tesco's first U.S. stores. Prior to joining Tesco, Cobain launched the world's first national interactive digital TV store at Woolworths. Tesco has not lined up a replacement for Cobain nor has it unveiled whether it will restructure its executive IT team.
