Spring Mobile Solutions Names SVP Operations
Spring Mobile Solutions announces that Fernando Rocha will join the company as senior vice president of operations. Rocha brings extensive experience in business operations, change management, IT and systems implementations, in addition to deep CPG experience. Rocha has an impressive track record in leadership positions, having worked for more than 25 years with multinational companies and teams.
In his new role, Rocha will be tasked with implementing and managing all aspects of Spring Mobile’s global business operations. All worldwide operations resources will report Rocha, who will report directly to President and CEO Conor Keane.
Before joining Spring Mobile, Rocha served as the vice president of IT at VALE, a large mining company based in Rio de Janeiro, where he was responsible for all of Latin America’s IT operations and corporate center activity. He also was responsible for the development and implementation of information management and business integration strategies. He led a number of mergers and acquisitions and successfully integrated the technology of the companies together as well as people and processes.
Prior to joining VALE, Rocha worked for Unilever for 20 years serving in a range of technical positions, including regional architect, corporate auditor and business system analyst at offices in Sao Paulo, Brazil; Lima, Peru; and Mexico City, Mexico. He later became IT Director for three sub-regions (Mexico, Central America and Caribbean), managing IT for seven countries and more than 3,000 IT users. He graduated with a degree in production engineering from Escola Politecnica, Sao Paulo University, Sao Paulo, Brazil. He is fluent in Spanish, Portuguese and English.
