PRS Merges With In Vivo BVA

Perception Research Services, Teaneck, New Jersey, has merged with fellow research agency In Vivo BVA, Paris. The new company, called PRS In Vivo, will focus on packaging, shopper marketing and new product innovation. It will have approximately 300 employees with offices in China, France, Germany, Italy, Singapore, Switzerland, the U.S. and UK. Major clients include Unilever, Nestle, L’Oreal and Pfizer. “We are very pleased to be joining forces with a company that shares our commitment to thought leadership, innovation and ‘expert advisor’ relationships with clients,” Scott Young, president of PRS and global CEO of the new company, said in a media release. “We are excited about bringing new services, such as volume forecasting, product testing and behavioral economics to our clients.”

Shoptology to Work With Dean Foods

Shoptology, Project: WorldWide’s shopper marketing agency based in Plano, Texas, has been chosen as the first shopper agency of record for Dean Foods, the largest processor and distributor of milk and dairy products in the U.S. The agency will handle shopper marketing efforts for Dean Foods brands including Dairy Pure milk, TruMoo chocolate milk and Dean’s regional ice cream portfolio.

RevTrax ‘Partners’ With Oracle

RevTrax, a New York-based digital promotion intelligence platform, is now a Silver Partner in the Oracle PartnerNetwork program. RevTrax now benefits from the ability to create technology solutions for CPG and retail clients across Oracle Marketing Cloud. “We believe that the bridge we are creating between digital engagement and brick-and-mortar sales will create major opportunity for the CPG and retail markets,” said Seth Sarelson, RevTrax co-founder and chief operating officer in a media release.

Shelfbucks Acquires Emmoco

Austin, Texas-based Shelfbucks Inc. has finalized its acquisition of Emmoco, an “Internet of Things” platform for developing connected Bluetooth Smart devices and solutions. Shelfbucks acquires Emmoco’s complete hardware, firmware, mobile and server suite of intellectual property and product solutions, including Emmoco’s proprietary BlueJoule software platform.

Menasha, Neenah, Wisconsin, has renewed and extended its license for LAMa point-of-sale display systems. … Digimarc Corp., Beaverton, Oregon, is collaborating with GS1 US, Lawrenceville, New Jersey, to speed the industry adoption of the Digimarc barcode technology. … Oak Hill Capital Partners has agreed to acquire Imagine! Print Solutions, a Shakopee, Minnesota-based provider of printed in-store marketing solutions. …  FrontLine Marketing has launched FrontLine Mobile, the company’s first mobile media solution, developed in partnership with mobile activation platform provider Crisp Media. … Yieldbot is working with IRI to revolutionize how shopper marketers measure and respond to first-party data targeting. … Starmount is working with Zumiez Inc. to launch the Starmount Customer Engagement Suite and point-of-sale solution to reinvent the shopping experience.

Personnel Appointments

The agency has appointed Jim Carlton to the role of North American chief creative officer. Carlton joins the agency from Arc Worldwide, where he provided creative leadership on all of its accounts including McDonald’s, United Airlines, Walgreens, MillerCoors, Coca-Cola Co. and Procter & Gamble.

Southern Imperial Inc., Rockford, Illinois

Frank S. Wojtowicz joins the company as vice president and chief financial officer. The company also recently appointed Bill Seering to the position of vice president, sales and marketing, and promoted Brent Ewing to vice president, product development and strategic partnerships.

Acosta, Jacksonville, Florida

The agency has named Tom Corley chief operating officer. He will be responsible for overseeing the sales and foodservice divisions. Corley joins the agency with more than 30 years of industry experience with the Kraft Foods Group (now Kraft Heinz Co.) and General Foods.

Great Northern Instore, Appleton, Wisconsin

Brian Mumau, formerly of Menasha, joined Great Northern Instore as vice president, sales development, Eastern region.

The digital marketing agency has hired production veteran Larry Byrne to lead its production practice.

The company has hired sales executive Suzanne Logee to cover upstate New York markets such as Binghamton, Albany and Syracuse, as well as certain areas in New England.
