Pepsi Bottling Group Transforms Global Management

The Pepsi Bottling Group Inc. announces three executive appointments predicted to strengthen the company's global management team. Rob King, whose role as president of PBG North America has given him oversight of the company's business in the United States and Canada since 2006, will now expand his responsibilities to also include Mexico. In his new role, King will oversee the company's business across the three countries. He will continue to report to PBG chairman and chief executive officer Eric Foss.

Prior to his most recent position, King was president of PBG's North American Field Operations. Before that, he was senior vice president and general manager for PBG's Mid-Atlantic Business Unit. King has nearly 20 years of experience within the Pepsi system and has held several positions of increasing responsibility during that time.

Brent Franks has been named president of PBG Mexico and will now direct all facets of the company's business there. Franks, who has served as PBG's senior vice president of Global Sales and chief customer officer since 2006, will report to King. He succeeds former PBG Mexico president Pablo Lagos, who has decided to pursue career opportunities outside the company.

Franks has spent over 26 years in the Pepsi system, serving as senior vice president of Sales and Field Marketing prior to his most recent position. He has held a variety of sales and general management posts throughout his career, including vice president of Customer Development in Pepsi-Cola North America's Great West Market Unit.

Victor Crawford has been appointed senior vice president of Worldwide Operations and System Transformation. In this new position, he will be responsible for the company's go-to-market strategy, manufacturing and warehouse operations, global revenue management, and information technology. Crawford has served as PBG's senior vice president of Worldwide Operations since 2006. He will continue to report to Foss.

Crawford came to PBG from Marriott International, where he was senior vice president and chief operations officer for the company's Eastern Region. He also spent time as senior vice president of Marriott Distribution Services. Prior to his positions at Marriott, Crawford worked for a decade in the Pepsi system, ultimately becoming vice president and general manager of the Greater Chicago Division of Pepsi-Cola General Bottlers.
