A Mobile Milestone

In May, mobile hit some major milestones. According to a comScore report, mobile platforms combined to account for 60 percent of total digital media time spent, up from 50 percent just a year ago. Meanwhile, social networking now generates more than 70 percent of its activity on mobile platforms, which makes it the No. 1 category in terms of overall digital engagement. Clearly, mobile usage has  completely transformed the way we consume digital content, particularly in just the past year or two.

Findings like these strongly reinforce what we already know: As consumers move to mobile, so must a marketer’s time and money. But, from conversations we’ve held with consumer goods community members, it seems that most of you are still trying to figure out how to go about it.
