Lindt & Spruengli Considers Godiva Acquisition
Swiss chocolate maker Lindt & Spruengli AG has expressed interest to acquire the Godiva line of chocolate from Campbell Soup Company, according to an article in the Financial Times Deutschland. Lindt & Spruengli's Chief Executive Ernst Tanner is quoted as saying that the company was eyeing acquisitions to boost its position as a premium chocolate producer. The company will make a final decision only after conducting a review of Godiva.
