Imperial Sugar Fill COO Position

Sugar processor Imperial Sugar Co. names John C. Sheptor as executive vice president and chief operating officer. Sheptor most recently served as COO for the Partnership for Supply Chain Management, a non-governmental organization funded by the President's Emergency Plan for Aids Relief. Before that he was executive vice president of Merisant Worldwide Inc., the distributor of Equal sweetener. The executive vice president and COO position has been vacant since December 2005 when Art Saxby left the company after Imperial Sugar cut 20 percent of its corporate headquarters' staff.
