Hershey Appoints Chief People Officer

Charlene H. Binder is joining The Hershey Company as senior vice president, chief people officer, effective March 24. She will report to President and Chief Executive Officer David J. West and serve as a member of the Hershey Executive Team. Binder will be responsible for global human resources, total compensation and benefits, corporate communications, flight operations and facilities management. She succeeds Marcella K. Arline, who last year announced her retirement. Binder joins Hershey from The Dannon Company where she was vice president, Human Resources for North America. From 2001 to 2006, Binder was senior vice president, Global Human Resources, at Unilever Cosmetics International. She began her career in human resources at Johnson & Johnson.
