Goldfish Encourages Xtreme Gaming for Kids

As part of a continued effort to inspire America's youth to lead an active lifestyle and use their imagination, the Pepperidge Farm Flavor Blasted Goldfish brand encouraged kids to enter the Goldfish Games Xtreme Challenge. Kids, ages 6 to 12, were asked to submit ideas for their own creative game that can be played alone or with friends. Six finalists will win a trip for four to the NBA All-Star 2009 weekend in Phoenix, Ariz. "We are thrilled to be able to help the youth of America get active and promote a healthy lifestyle in an engaging way with the new Goldfish Games platform and contest," says Steve White, vice president, Youth Snacks Division at Pepperidge Farm. "With the growing issue of childhood obesity and the increasingly sedentary lifestyle of Americans today, the Pepperidge Farm Goldfish brand feels passionately about encouraging change and making physical activity and the use of imagination a fun and important part of children's lives."
