Georgia-Pacific Names Customer Development Lead
Georgia-Pacific's EMEA group announces that Martin Nederhoed has joined the company as vice president - customer development, EMEA Consumer. In this newly created role, Nederhoed will have oversight responsibilities across the group's pan-European businesses and brands to place a renewed focus on consumers and customers, while generating efficiencies and best practices in the company's trade spending.
Specifically, in this new role, Nederhoed will focus on:
-- Defining a clear long-term strategic business vision for the profitable growth of the Georgia-Pacific Consumer customer development organization, based on an in-depth understanding of customers' strategic priorities and organizations.
-- Developing and rolling out category solutions, in order to generate in-store high sales velocity for the categories that Georgia-Pacific is active in and position Georgia-Pacific as a preferred category captain in order to drive category development.
-- Using channel and shopper research and leveraging best practices to develop improved strategies for category growth through joint efforts with customers to maximize availability and conversion rate through superior point-of-purchase execution.
Nederhoed joins Georgia-Pacific with significant experience. He began his career in marketing with Cebeco and Hero International before moving on to become an international key account manager for PepsiCo Europe. He most recently worked for Reckitt Benckiser CHQ as global trade marketing director for several global fabric care brands. In this London-based role, he successfully developed strategies for the global launch of product innovations, working with key global markets and customers. He implemented best practice programs to achieve global sales force efficiency, leverage shopper insight and significantly improve in-store space allocation.
