Finding Inspiration

2/24/2014
Some of the biggest stories we tell here at CGT start in the most unlikely of places. This month’s cover story is the perfect example. We first met Yasso in 2013, when Executive Editor Kara Romanow came upon its free samples truck at a race in Boston. One taste was all it took to get her hooked on the product, and then she got me hooked, and in true journalistic fashion, we immediately started searching for the backstory about our favorite new treat. This led us to Co-Founders Drew Harrington and Amanda Klane, who as we expected, captivated CGT’s audience at an event last year by candidly sharing the highs and lows of launching a new consumer brand in just a few short years, and with a lot of help from Google. Now, we’re proudly bringing the story to you again — this time in written form. We hope you enjoy the roller coaster ride that is Yasso Frozen Greek Yogurt’s entertaining start-up story as much as we do.

The remainder of this issue is dedicated as always to content that helps consumer goods companies navigate the twists and turns of a changing consumer goods market. In our latest edition of CGT Straight Talk, industry experts take a hard look at how outsourcing has evolved to present the realities of what’s possible for your business today. In a Special Report, we explore the reasons why women should be considered as the next generation of supply chain leaders. We also analyze the changing role of category captainship on Page 5 and how consumer goods companies are looking to bring social media analytics in house on Page 25.

And now I’ve worked up an appetite thinking about this content-rich digital issue, so I’ll leave you to it while I go grab myself a yummy frozen snack.
