Accenture Collaborates with Salesforce for Trade and Marketing

9/9/2015
Accenture announces it is collaborating with Salesforce to extend the complete Accenture CAS software suite to the Salesforce1 Platform. By bringing the solution to the cloud it will combine the suite of customer management and mobility software of Accenture CAS with the built-in mobile, social and analytics capabilities of Salesforce’s CRM and enterprise cloud platform.

Accenture and Salesforce will offer consumer goods companies a single system of engagement for sales and trade marketing processes. In the first phase of the rollout, which is scheduled for release in calendar year 2016, Accenture CAS Trade Promotion Management and Retail Execution products will be made available on the Salesforce1 Platform. This is expected to enable consumer goods firms to leverage Salesforce’s leading CRM capabilities in sales, service, marketing and analytics.

“The impending availability of the Accenture CAS software suite via the Salesforce1 cloud Platform offers some intriguing benefits to consumer products companies looking to enhance their front office capabilities; either as a way to broaden availability globally (traditional and modern trade) or to further integrate with field-based employees via mobile and advanced analytics tools,” says Simon Ellis, Program VP for IDC Manufacturing Insights.

Accenture CAS, designed in collaboration with consumer goods companies, aims to provide an integrated software suite that spans a company’s sales process and operations. By building on the Salesforce1 Platform, Accenture CAS will help new and existing clients to integrate mobile applications into their trade promotion retail execution systems; unify their front- and back-office information; and enhance their trade and sales activities.

Consumer goods companies will also have the option to adopt a hybrid approach, as Accenture continues to be committed to the ongoing development and innovation of the Accenture CAS products both on-premise and as a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) cloud-based offering.

The collaboration is an extension of an existing strategic alliance between the two companies. Accenture has a large pool of Salesforce certified consultants with business acumen, extensive industry capability and customer relationship management leadership for clients that have chosen cloud computing solutions. This includes more than 6,000 skilled personnel, more than 2,800 certified, six Salesforce Master designations and five Fullforce Solutions.
