Alcohol beverage distributor Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits is investing in its point-of-sale (POS) execution capabilities.

The company has selected MRM as its POS execution technology and printing partner in North America.

Southern Glazer will use the tech firm’s technology to order on-demand, customized, and compliant POS materials for their customers. This upgrade is expected to help Southern Glazer’s provide increased marketing support to more customers quickly while maintaining compliance with brand guidelines and regulations.

MRM’s on-demand technology and cloud printing model is designed to enable Southern Glazer’s in leveraging a U.S.-wide print network that will minimize the time and distance print materials need to travel. The accessibility of the POS production will reduce the amount of waste created and support a more sustainable supply chain model for print POS overall.

The technology “will provide our sales consultants with superior capabilities that will add more value for our customers and suppliers by providing greater speed to market, increased compliance, and increased efficiency,” said Mark Chapin, SVP of Southern Glazer’s, in a statement.

The investments marks another Southern Glazer’s to improve its retail partnerships. The company recently shared it's using image-recognition technology to share product insights with suppliers, leadership stakeholders, and commercial teams. The tech leverages AI to identify and analyze data from the field teams’ product and menu photos to provide market intelligence in near real-time, which the company expects to provide their teams with more time to dedicate to customer service.
