Ahold Delhaize’s Fresh Formats Selects Pricer
Ahold Delhaize’s Fresh Formats LLC recently selected Stockholm, Sweden-based Pricer to roll out electronic shelf labels (ESL) for Fresh Formats’ bfresh locations. As a departure from traditional brick-and-mortar grocery stores, bfresh was created in 2014 as a test model to explore and develop new format opportunities. ”We have learned that shoppers view electronic shelf labels as being ‘tech savvy’ and environmentally friendly – two things that boost our brand perception,” Fresh Formats vice president of IT Michel De Fontaine said in a media release. “Pricer offers additional benefits in the area of ‘click & collect’ that we plan to explore in the future with [the flickering of digital labels].”

Nielsen Launches Connected Partner Program: Nielsen has opened its CPG data and insights to third-party analytic companies on a historic and broad scale with the launch of the Nielsen Connected Partner Program. The move enables partner companies and Nielsen clients to find each other and collaborate in an open ecosystem, freeing them from common barriers to connecting applications and data sets at scale. “Together, this will give clients the tools they need to address the demands of the industry, discover enterprise-level areas to strengthen performance and amplify their investment across [partners] in the network,” Chris Morley, president of Nielsen, U.S. Buy, said in a media release.

Unified Grocers Teams with Reach-Influence: Detroit-based Reach-Influence, a specialist in loyalty and digital coupon solutions, recently formed a new business relationship with Unified Grocers to provide Unified’s retail customers a digital offers solution called “Reach-Offers.” The solution aggregates national digital coupon content and sends direct one-to-one communication to registered shoppers, allowing them to redeem digital promotions in real time at the point of purchase. It also performs complex coupon settlement functions behind the scenes, allowing retailers to be quickly and accurately paid for each transaction. “Our new relationship with ‘Reach-Offers’ opens the door to improved retail performance by streamlining the coupon offer and management process and giving retailers and shoppers the latest tools for doing business.”

Xaxis to Acquire Triad Retail Media: New York-based Xaxis, a global programmatic audience company and data management platform, plans to acquire St. Petersburg, Florida-based digital retail media advertiser Triad Retail Media, subject to regulatory approval. Triad Retail Media powers the digital media platforms of retailers such as CVS/pharmacy, eBay, Staples and Walmart. On the brand side, more than 1,500 advertisers utilize Triad’s to connect with shoppers at point-of-sale.
