SharkNinja to Open University Research-Backed AI, Analytics Lab

SharkNinja is pairing its product innovation expertise with university-backed research via a partnership with Boston University’s Questrom School of Business.

The two organizations are working together to launch a SharkNinja AI and Analytics Lab that will combine deep AI and analytics capabilities to inform future industry solutions.

Faculty and graduate students from the university's Questrom Consulting Lab will gain access to a structured, faculty-led environment in which they can research use cases enabled by business intelligence, advanced analytics and AI.

With the AI and Analytics Lab functioning as a center of excellence for the company, SharkNinja aims to tap into AI-enabled decision making and an environment for intelligent test and learns through which it can scale innovations.

“Together, we’re deepening how we use data and analytics to make smarter decisions, operate with greater precision and accelerate how we turn insights into action as we continue to push the boundaries of what’s possible," Mark Barrocas, CEO of SharkNinja, said in a statement. 

"As we scale AI across the organization, we're driving faster execution, stronger collaboration and ultimately better outcomes for our consumers,” he added.

Professor Peter Howard, executive director of Action Learning and the Questrom Consulting Lab, said the partnership will provide students with an opportunity to bring their academic insights into an industry environment. 

“Experiential learning is critical to ensuring that business students enter the world of work ready for success on day one,” Susan Fournier, Allen Questrom professor and Dean of the Questrom School of Business, said in a statement.
