PepsiCo and Target CEOs Team Up On Gender Equality Campaign

4/25/2016
Indra K. Nooyi, Chairman & CEO, PepsiCo, Inc. and Brian Cornell, Chairman & CEO, The Target Corporation, are teaming up as co-chairs of the Network of Executive Women’s (NEW) Future Fund—an industry-wide campaign aimed at achieving 50/50 gender parity in the retail and consumer goods workforce.

The New Future Fund's goal is to fund technology that will supply industry-specific data, training solutions and collaboration tools to help more women advance their careers and land leadership roles. To do it, NEW is calling on the support of its nearly 10,000 members from the retail and consumer goods and services sectors.

“On behalf of PepsiCo, I’m proud to support the NEW Future Fund to make sure women are equally represented at the highest levels of our industry," said Nooyi. "We know that when we open the doors of opportunity to extraordinary women, businesses thrive.”

Target's A Bullseye View blog did a four question Q&A with Nooyi and Cornell as the campaign kicks off. They answer questions such as why NEW’s Future Fund initiative important to them, what is preventing women from achieving their goals today, and what their teams are doing to open up opportunities for extraordinary women leaders.
