Nestle Nesquik Featured in Disneyland Healthy Eating Initiative

More kids are sporting milk mustaches with their mouse ears at the Disneyland Resort, where Nestle Nesquik Chocolate and Strawberry 100 percent flavored milks are featured as part of the Walt Disney Company's healthy eating initiative. In conjunction with new food guidelines unveiled last fall to give parents and children healthier eating options, restaurants at the Disneyland Resort now automatically offer Nestle Nesquik Chocolate and Strawberry 100 percent flavored milk or water, 100 percent fruit juice or plain low-fat milk as beverages with kids' meals. "We're proud to be a part of Disney's steps toward better nutrition for kids," says Cathy Dean, marketing manager, Nestle Nesquik RTD. "We share Disney's commitment to providing healthier options for children and families, whether at school, on vacation at Disneyland or on the go. Our eight-fluid-ounce Nestle Nesquik products are a great way to give children the benefits of milk in a kid-sized portion that's fun to drink and tastes great." Disney's guidelines were developed based on 2005 Dietary Guidelines for Americans. Nestle Nesquik meets Disney guidelines, with particular care to provide appropriate child-sized portions and limited total and saturated fats. Nestle Nesquik is made from Grade A, Vitamin A & D, low-fat (1 percent) milk and is unlike water-based dairy beverages that contain less milk. This eight-ounce Nestle Nesquik contains no high-fructose corn syrup or artificial sweeteners. Each eight-fluid-ounce serving contains 170 calories, and provides eight grams of protein, 25 percent of the Daily Value for vitamin D, and 40 percent of the Daily Value for calcium.
