L'Occitane Growth Prompts Operational Change
L'Occitane, an international manufacturer and retailer of skincare, body care, fragrance and hair care products, selects Apriso’s FlexNet as its enterprise Manufacturing Execution System (MES). Apriso will help L'Occitane manage its growth by standardizing production, weighing and dispensing and packaging operations across its enterprise, as part of an overall manufacturing transformation initiative to continuously improve operational throughput.
“Our selection of Apriso was largely based on demonstrated experience within our industry. By treating manufacturing operations as an enterprise process where real-time visibility and control is effectively delivered to each of our operational functions and geographic locations, we expect to achieve greater operational efficiency and higher quality for a lower total cost,” explains Jean-Franois Gonidec, Manufacturing and Operational Excellence general manager at L'Occitane. “As a platform-based solution, FlexNet offers unique advantages, including ease of use, acceleration of deployment and the support for future continuous improvement that were simply not available from other vendors in the marketplace, based on our due diligence and selection process.”
L'Occitane has been experiencing considerable growth, necessitating reevaluation of select operational processes for greater efficiency. This need, coupled with the prospect of opening new factories in the future, led to the selection of the new solution.
