JDA FOCUS 2007 Unites Manufacturers, Wholesalers and Retailers

JDA Software Group Inc.'s FOCUS 2007 User Group Conference brought together the largest and most diverse contingency of customers in the event's 17-year history. With more than 1,500 participants representing 430 companies from 30 countries, JDA FOCUS 2007 had substantially more manufacturers and wholesalers than prior years while also increasing retailer attendance. "This year's event marked our first opportunity since acquiring Manugistics in July 2006 to bring our combined User Communities together as well as share our new integrated product direction and solutions roadmap," says JDA CEO Hamish Brewer. Showcasing the 'one view of demand' functionality of JDA solutions, JDA customers, alliance members and associates presented in more than 215 sessions that underscored the conference theme, "Coming Together, Delivering Results." Among the attendees representing consumer goods manufacturing at FOCUS 2007 was Black & Decker Hardware and Home Improvement's Vice President of Information Systems Scott Strickland. In honor of the FOCUS 2007 host city, JDA provided its employees and FOCUS participants the opportunity to support Habitat's rebuilding efforts in New Orleans. While JDA initially announced it would match up to $25,000 in donations, JDA surprised FOCUS participants by doubling JDA's matching funds. As a result, JDA presented to Bob Mayre, Chapter President of the New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity, with a check for $77,089.
