Haier America Appoints Chief Information Officer

Haier America, which has a growing product portfolio that delivers whole-home solutions, has announced the appointment of Deanna Johnston as Chief Information Officer reporting to Chief Operating Officer, Kevin Dexter.

As CIO, Ms. Johnston will refresh and lead the implementation of Haier America's operational excellence strategy as well as define the organization's business process architecture, translate the process architecture into IT architecture and develop an IT systems improvement roadmap to close process and system gaps. 

Ms. Johnston comes to Haier with over twenty years of demonstrated success directing business transformations within the consumer products, high tech and healthcare industries. For the past seven years, she served as Chief Information Officer for Belkin International, accountable for providing global IT strategy and leadership for the corporation, including the Belkin and Linksys brands. Ms. Johnston greatly expanded the online, social and digital footprint and capabilities as well as led the selection, transformation and migration of key IT services to leading cloud platforms. In 2013, she managed the rapid integration of the Linksys business into Belkin's processes and systems after Belkin purchased Linksys from Cisco.

Prior to Belkin, Ms. Johnston was the Vice President of Information Technology for Ingram Micro's North American BU, where she was responsible for all IT service delivery to the North American BU with over 4,000 employees. Earlier in her career, she worked as a Consultant for both Price Waterhouse and Arthur Anderson, where she managed the implementation of many complex enterprise application systems for high profile clients.
