Foodfacts.com Expands Health Score Rating System

The Food Facts Health Score (FFHS) is now available on food manufacturer boxes, signaling consumer advancement for the expanded use of a food rating system. FFHS is a rating system from Foodfacts.com that reflects the quality of ingredients in foods in addition to the traditional measures of protein, fat, fiber, vitamins and added sugar.
"We're very pleased that 1-2-3 Gluten Free, a prestigious distributor of quality, certified gluten-free foods, is participating with Foodfacts.com in implementing our unique rating system on their food packages," notes Stan Rak, president of Foodfacts.com. "There are a significant number of food manufacturers also coming on board." Foodfacts.com believes that the "FFHS on a Box" concept is a step forward in consumer nutritional empowerment, expanding food consumer accessibility and awareness in a new and significant way.
