Electrolux Plugs In Complete Supply Chain Solution

Electrolux Home Care Products has seen its business model in North America change in recent years from manufacturing to sourcing a larger percentage of finished goods and components from overseas suppliers. These factors added complexity into our supply chain.

"With the growing expectations of our customer base we needed to streamline our planning processes to ensure that we had a system in place that would support future growth and help us maintain high customer service levels," says Jennifer Hughey, vice president supply chain for Electrolux Home Care Products North America.

Thus, Electrolux Home Care Products North America successfully implemented Logility Voyager Solutions to increase demand visibility, strengthen collaboration, improve forecast accuracy and increase customer service levels.

Electrolux Home Care Products North America makes and markets more than 1,035 vacuum models under the brand names Electrolux, Sanitaire, Beam and Eureka. Its customer base is comprised of large mass retailers and home centers such as Target, Wal-Mart and Lowes. Logility Voyager Solutions is expected to help Electrolux lower days of supply while increasing the ability to quickly respond to customer demands and expectations by providing them with more demand visibility and the capability to share critical supply chain data across the company in real-time. Electrolux will also be able to more accurately plan for the different stages of product lifecycles including introduction, maturity, replacement, substitution and retirement, and gain the insight to better align inventory with customer demand to reduce inventory obsolescence and cycle times.
