Circuit City Gives Green Tips

5/12/2008
In response to new national survey results that show high public interest in energy efficient electronics, retailer Circuit City launches a new Web resource to help consumers adopt "green" strategies. The site offers tips for recycling electronics, saving energy and spotlights Circuit City's trade-in program, which allows consumers to turn in old electronics in exchange for Circuit City gift cards. Trading in old electronics was a popular choice among more than 8,000 men and women who responded to the nationwide survey commissioned by Circuit City. The survey also shows consumers are interested in electronics that use less power and are energy efficient. The new online tools can be found at www.circuitcity.com/green, where consumers can research and shop for products that earned Energy Star designation from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
