Analytics Unite kicks off with a bang this June with an opening keynote from Nicole Nelson of Best Buy on Accelerating Growth, Talent, and Innovation.
Nelson, Best Buy’s SVP of Data & Analytics will open Analytics Unite: The Summit for Retail and Consumer Brands, which will be LIVE, June 21-23 in Chicago!
The Summit brings together the brightest in data and analytics in the retail and consumer goods communities over three insight-packed days.
Nelson will explore the main theme of the event and highlight how the organization has accelerated operations to meet changing market demands and where it is placing big future bets. She will address the need to put the proverbial pedal to the metal in regard to analytic talent attraction and nurturing, technology and product innovation, as well as how to turn this lightning-fast growth into a data-driven competitive advantage.
Nelson is responsible for all decision science, data science and applied machine learning functions across the Best Buy retail enterprise. Nicole brought teams together to form the Center of Excellence in 2020 from pricing, supply chain, services, marketing, ecommerce, human resource, real estate, and the customer office. She is passionate about bringing analytics talent together to advance holistic business solutions, overall strategy and consumer led transformations.
She joined Best Buy during their Renew Blue transformation as their Vice President of Pricing and Merchandising Analytics. Prior to Best Buy, she led analytics and cross channel pricing transformations at Target Corporation after starting her career as a buyer in Merchandising. She holds a Master’s in Organizational Development and was a National Science Foundation Fellow in Economics.
