Whirlpool Inks Cost-Reduction Contract

Whirlpool Corporation signs a multi-year agreement with ICG Commerce. The contract engages ICG Commerce to help drive cost reductions of $1 billion in indirect expenditures across the United States with services that include sourcing, category management and transaction processing.

"While Whirlpool was already tightly managing direct and key indirect expenditures, we recognized the value of bringing in ICG Commerce to quickly expand our spend management efforts," says Michelle Dilley, general manager of Global Indirect Goods and Services Sourcing for Whirlpool. "Leveraging its market insight and experience, ICG Commerce has structured a solution that will enable us to achieve sizable realized savings across a broader range of spend in the first year of our program."
