New Partners Deliver Digital Shopper Solution
News America Marketing, New York, has partnered with Boston-based programmatic advertising solution provider OwnerIQ on the release of a new product the two companies say is a powerful combination of geo-scoring and shopper data that is unique in the industry. Powered by more than 400 retailer and brand partnerships including proprietary first-party data from News America’s SmartSource.com, Dynamiq was designed to give shopper marketers the ability to reach their ideal consumers by delivering billions of impressions sourced from hundreds of different retailer, manufacturer, product comparison and savings websites. The new partners ensure that all impressions are delivered to active shoppers through sophisticated geo-scoring technology.
Dunnhumby Relaunches Insights-Based Software
Customer science company Dunnhumby, New York, is relaunching its KSS Retail business unit under the new Dunnhumby Price and Promotion brand, reflecting the integration of new software and tools with Dunnhumby’s established consulting and research practice. KSS Retail was acquired by Dunnhumby in 2010, largely because of its PriceStrat software solution that helped pioneer the market for price and promotions optimization and has since been implemented at some of the largest retailers in the world, including Tesco, AutoZone and Southeastern Grocers. The mission of the relaunch is to empower merchandising and category management teams to better understand their customers and make informed decisions that drive long-term loyalty and profitability.
Firm Unveils New CPG Research Platform
Los Angeles-based market research company Alter Agents is introducing a new consumer packaged goods research platform called Shopper STAT that the firm says enables retailers to harvest deeper shopper insights. The new tool is comprised of data based on a continuous sampling of shoppers who bought groceries in the last 24 hours – collecting 1,000 interviews per week and capturing 20 CPG categories. A fast-iteration reporting process delivers a focused report intended to maximize purchase opportunities for brands.
Quri Offers Promotion-Planning Optimization
Retail intelligence technology firm Quri, San Francisco, has launched the Quri Academy, an industry education initiative for CPG manufacturers to help ease the adoption and accelerate the return on investment of retail intelligence technology. The academy is powered by proprietary data and insights from more than 1.2 million store visits over the past two years and will combine these insights with expert advice and best practices in promotion-planning effectiveness from CPG pros spanning all categories and verticals.
POPAI and A.R.E. Merge
A.R.E. (Association for Retail Environments) and POPAI (Point of Purchase Advertising International) have merged to form a new association that will provide research, education and networking to approximately 2,000 member companies on six continents. The new association will be headquartered in Chicago and retain offices in both Chicago and Hollywood, Florida.
