Office Depot Adopts Server to Reduce IT Complexity
Office Depot uses the SUSE Linux Enterprise Server as its operating platform for the company's global servers. The office product and service provider uses the system to reduce complexity and control costs to standardize its IT environment. Moving to an open platform that runs on commodity hardware helps the retailer reduce its power, hardware and cooling costs. Office Depot also moves some of its global ERP applications to run on the SUSE Linux Enterprise Server.
