Meijer Adds Store Level Replenishment
Meijer powers its scan-based trading (SBT) program with a system by Prescient. Using the commerce model, the supplier maintains ownership of inventory until it is scanned out at point-of-sale. As part of the SBT program, Meijer will now require suppliers to generate their own replenishment orders. Meijer also uses the system to provide visibility into daily store level product movement and generates orders based on near real-time point-of-sale data.
