The candidate joins Campbell after 20 years of experience, including expertise in building and leading international and multidisciplinary teams to create nutrition innovation pipelines.
The deal will help provide new products and features for SodaStreams core business of home carbonation, and will accelerate its future penetration into new channels.
The executive has more than 16 years of consumer products research and development experience and most recently served as the Director, Global Innovation and New Technology at Bayer Consumer Care AG.
Only 18 percent of new products are considered highly innovative. Needless to say, true innovation is a feat enjoyed by an elite few each year, and that is why CGT is once again recognizing six consumer goods companies that defied the odds to launch successful new products in 2010/11.
The investment reflects Campbell's efforts to further increase the rate of innovation across its Baking and Snacking portfolio, the company's second-largest reporting segment, which includes both its Pepperidge Farm unit and Arnott's in Asia Pacific.
