Stepping back from everything we heard on Monday we wanted to share key insights from the group:
- Organization structure still remains varied across different CPGs
- There is no silver bullet - lots of different structures being applied across CPGs
- Most analytics groups fall under IT organizations and still serve business function as a supplier vs a partner
- Driving culture change to adopt advanced analytics and having structured use case pipeline are the key gaps across CPGs
- Cultures in organization are unclear on how to think about advanced analytics and the value is delivers
- Top-down directive is important to create need/momentum
- incentives can motivate behaviors
- Structured use case pipeline not defined
- Few organizations have a defined use case pipeline to guide decision making on what to build, where to build it, and when to build it
- Cultures in organization are unclear on how to think about advanced analytics and the value is delivers
- Dynamic visuals of output are powerful to drive interest
- Demo's bring the theory to life
- Groups immediately react to seeing the data in a visually easy to digest way
- Important to use as a tool to create sell-in for the organization
Let us know if you have interest to continue with a follow-up discussion and when would be a convenient time.
Thank you and we look forward to hearing from you.
