Jones Apparel Streamlines Pricing

Jones Apparel Group implements Oracle Retail Price Optimization software to help increase inventory turns. Jones Apparel is using the Oracle software to monitor and anticipate customer demand, make in-season regional price adjustments and manage product lifecycles and seasonal transitions. The apparel and footwear retailer intends to move merchandise through stores faster and introduce new styles and selections more often. The software is being rolled out to more than 970 retail and outlet stores under the banners Nine West, Jones New York, Anne Klein, Bandolino and Easy Spirit. "Quicker inventory turnover and an improved pricing cadence present a significant opportunity for our retail stores, allowing us to provide our customers with the latest fashion trends while delivering a great brand experience at the store level," says William Tracy, chief operating officer -- Nine West Footwear Corporation.
