Diamond Foods Selects SaaS TMS

Diamond Foods, Inc. selects Transplace’s proprietary software-as-a-service (SaaS) transportation management system (TMS) to improve operational efficiencies and supply chain visibility. Diamond Foods will have access to Transplace’s web-based technology and business intelligence (BI) analytics, which aims to help the company optimize its transportation network, view shipments in real-time, reduce transportation costs and support long-term business goals.

 

Diamond Foods Vice President Supply Chain & Logistics Jeff Stites, says, “With the Transplace SaaS solution, Diamond Foods now has optimal technology to support real-time visibility, planning, procurement and execution management across our portfolio of brands. Its TMS also allows for us to collaborate with Transplace’s customer network and take advantage of cross customer co-loading opportunities.”

 

Transplace’s proprietary SaaS TMS is expected to give Diamond Foods the ability to effectively manage all inbound and outbound transportation from domestic vendors to its distribution centers and cross-docks, and to all customer locations. Using real-time reports, Diamond Foods should be able to make better informed decisions in order to run its business both competitively and cost-effectively.
