Brown-Forman Utilizes E-Invoicing in Latin America
Brown-Forman utilizes the Invoiceware International network to manage its electronic invoicing processes in Brazil and Mexico. By taking advantage of Invoiceware International’s SAP Rapid Deployment Templates (RDT) and OnDemand Latin America E-Invoicing Network, Brown-Forman aims to eliminate the ongoing SAP upgrades and IT burdens caused by the constantly changing e-invoicing regulations.
Brown-Forman sells its brands in more than 135 countries and has offices in cities across the globe. In all, Brown-Forman has more than 25 brands in its portfolio of wines and spirits.
Brown-Forman’s success is evidenced by the global expansion of their spirits and wine distribution. This international expansion strategy places a greater demand on the information technology team within Brown-Forman by requiring its SAP systems to comply with the constantly changing financial legislation around the world.
“The regulations, specifically in Latin America, require the execution of real-time business processes that affect both the Finance and Supply Chain teams,” says Randy Isdahl, Brown Forman’s director SAP Process Architecture. “We can’t afford to overlook any details when we enable or operate electronic invoicing, or everything grinds to a halt while we work out the problems.”
