Avon Deploys Tool for Energy Efficiency

Having curtailed its energy consumption by 13.25 percent per unit from 2004 to 2008, Avon Products Inc. is already on the forefront of sustainability. The company has set a goal of further lowering energy consumption per-unit-produced an additional 10 percent by 2012.A

 

As part of this strategy, Avon Products Inc. selects EPS Corps xChange Point real-time energy management and carbon reduction solution as a technology to help the company drive continuous improvement in energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives at the companys Morton Grove, Ill. facility. xChange Point will be initially deployed at this manufacturing plant to monitor and analyze current energy consumption, identify areas for the greatest improvement and design a strategy to increase overall plant energy efficiency.

 

Avon selected EPS because of the capabilities of the xChange Point software as a service, backed by the companys experienced energy engineers to help them identify the next level of energy efficiency projects to achieve their objectives at their Morton Grove facility. This will allow the plant engineering team to focus on installing new production lines at the facility and keeping the plants manufacturing processes running optimally.
