FAQs

What are you going to text about?

The important and interesting things happening in the consumer goods industry. Texts will be sent by CGT Editor-in-Chief Lisa Johnston, and, just like at CGT, we’ll share new, cool, and difficult use cases and what big news might mean for tech leaders. We’ll also share info about things we hear at events and from industry insiders — and behind-the-scenes things we’re working on. We’re also thinking about ways we can share CPG hiring needs.

I already get your newsletter. Is it the same?

No. Not only will Lisa text about CPG news, but she's also going relay curated insights from others in the CGT community and share sneak peeks of things we're working on. Think of it as an intimate and more personalized way to stay in touch with consumer goods insiders.

Will other people see my number?

Nope. Your responses go to just us. Lisa might respond to you 1:1, or she may paraphrase things others text back to the group, but that will come from our number. We’ll never share identifying details without you first saying it’s OK.

Is my phone going to start buzzing 100 times a day?

That would be terrible. Lisa will text twice a week: Tuesdays and Thursdays. You might receive a few texts immediately in a row so that she can provide full details, but we won’t ping you six times a day at random times. No one wants that.

What if I sign up and then change my mind?

Just text STOP, and we’ll stop. We’re listening very carefully to how people respond, so send us all the feedback, all the time.

I already have your number. Can’t I just text you there?

Unfortunately, it doesn’t really work like that. But if you’d still like the latest picture of Lisa's dog Murf, just let us know here.
