Quiksilver Optimizes Workforce with LMS Solution
Quiksilver selects HighJump Software’s labor management system (LMS) to optimize the workforce at its Americas distribution center in Mira Loma, Calif. that distributes apparel, footwear and accessories across the Quiksilver, Roxy and DC shoes brands.
“HighJump has been a trusted partner for Quiksilver for many years.” says Andres Castillo, senior vice president of Distribution Operations, Quiksilver. “Labor management was the next progression in making our distribution center operations more efficient and supporting plans for growth. HighJump’s labor management system was the logical choice given their knowledge of our operations, integration with the existing HighJump WMS and our years of strong partnership.”
HighJump Labor Advantage helps to compile real-time performance data to enable companies to plan and measure labor activities throughout their distribution facility. It also aims to measure employee performance and identify those whose performance consistently exceeds the standard, as well as employees who need assistance. In addition, visibility tools provide real-time data on actual employee utilization and performance versus established standards, expected to allow operations managers to detect inefficiencies and take corrective action.
Quiksilver selected the HighJump labor management system because of the integration with their HighJump warehouse management system (WMS). Quiksilver has been a HighJump WMS user since 2001. The initial deployment of the labor management system will include performance management for 120 team members working in the high-speed pick modules. Future projects will rollout the software to all 500 team members in the distribution center who perform processes such as unloading, receiving, packing, value added services and moving product in and out of a high volume tilt tray sorter.
