Former pro beach volleyball player Misty May-Treanor, a three-time Olympic gold medalist, will deliver the closing keynote at the Path to Purchase Summit in May before giving selected attendees a chance to return one of her serves on the beach.

P2PSummit, a Path to Purchase Institute/EnsembleIQ event, takes place May 15-17 at Marriott Harbor Beach Resort & Spa in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

During her closing keynote address at 12:15 p.m. on May 17, May-Treanor will give an inspirational presentation about the motivation and tireless efforts it takes to overcome obstacles, all while honing in on the fundamental skills including teamwork, collaboration, grit and determination.

Immediately following her address, raffle-winning attendees will participate in the #SummitServe2Misty challenge, when they’ll take turns attempting to return a serve from May-Treanor on the resort’s beach.

May-Treanor, who has more career wins than any other female beach volleyball player in history, teamed with Kerry Walsh Jennings to earn gold medals at the Athens (2004), Beijing (2008) and London (2012) Summer Games.

“This year’s P2PSummit is centered on overcoming the consumer goods industry’s complex challenges through collaboration,” said Terese Herbig, president of the Path to Purchase Institute. “Misty May-Treanor is a natural fit as keynote as she’ll take attendees through the transferable skills necessary to thrive in today’s disruptive retail environment.”
