Chicago-based IRI expanded its E-Commerce Solutions Suite with the addition of the IRI E-POS Measurement Solution platform, which offers clients a granular look into categories, brands, individual items at the UPC level and weekly data on e-commerce purchases based on actual POS data from individual retailers at scale. The platform will aggregate online POS data from a group of large grocery, drug, mass merchandise and club store retailers as well as leading online pure play retailers. “IRI will now be able to leverage actual POS data to provide marketers with a diagnostic tool that compares online and offline purchasing trends, offering a comprehensive look at what’s happening overall in the marketplace,” said Robert Tomei, IRI president of consumer and shopper marketing and core content and insight services.
