Guitar Center Improves Targeting and Profitability

Guitar Center, Inc. renews its license for Applied Predictive Technologies' (APT) retail testing software. APT’s Test & LearnManagement Solution is being used to drive dozens of high-impact tests within Guitar Center’s organization to support business actions. The solution provides a set of applications that retail organizations, such as Guitar Center, use to institutionalize a rigorous retail testing process. The APT solution helps Guitar Center to automate complex functions, such as data collection, apply sophisticated analytic tools required to design and interpret tests correctly and helps to enable the organization to consistently generate clear output for each test.
 
Guitar Center will continue to apply APT’s Test & Learn for Sites, Test & Learn for Customers, and Market Basket Analyzer against a range of store, market, and customer-facing initiatives. In addition, Guitar Center has also agreed to license Test & Learn for Employees, which will enable analysis at the employee-level to understand which employee-facing initiatives that are driving enterprise performance. Guitar Center is expected to be able to measure and optimize program rollout across the enterprise, including both their in-store and on-line businesses. Guitar Center will continue working with APT across highly strategic functional areas such as pricing, marketing, merchandising, store operations, and capital investments.
