Adidas Optimizes Images With AI-Powered Capabilities

Consumer goods company Adidas is leveraging image optimization capabilities powered by artificial intelligence. 

It is working with Cloudinary on the effort, allowing it to use generative AI to automatically size and format pictures to ensure high quality renderings even when reduced in scale for use as thumbnails or previews. 

Capabilities include automatic cropping of complex images, turning low-quality images into professional-grade photographs, downscaling, and optimal formatting for images and videos based on users’ browsers. 

This adds on to the generative AI tools Adidas has already been leveraging related to content creation, data visualization, and complex calculations. For this effort, the company has been using Amazon-powered natural language processing abilities.
