Meijer Gets a Powerful Hug from Huggies
Meijer and Kimberly-Clark's Huggies are building on their fifth annual campaign benefitting for the National Diaper Bank this year by adding a sweepstakes.
Consumers enter the "No Baby Unhugged" sweeps from Nov. 26 to Dec. 23 by posting a picture showing "the power of a hug" on Twitter or Instagram using the hashtags #Hugs4Huggies and #Sweepstakes. Two winners each week receive a $1,000 Meijer gift card and a $500 card for a friend or family member. Southfield, MI-based HelloWorld handles.
A feature in Meijer's Nov. 26/30 circular promoted the sweeps and a concurrent mPerks coupon for $5 off a $30 purchase of K-C's Huggies, Pull-Ups or GoodNites. In stores, floor clings promote both the coupon and sweeps along with Meijer's pledge to donate $1 to the National Diaper Bank (up to $10,000) for every pack of Huggies purchased at the mass merchant from Oct. 29 to Dec. 23. Endcap displays also plug the campaign.
Huggies enlisted Collective Bias to sponsor blog posts which link to a brand showcase within meijer.com that hosts a promotional video Huggies posted to its YouTube channel on Sept. 29. (See below.)
Huggies also partnered with ShopRite and Virginia Beach, VA-based Farm Fresh Food & Pharmacy this fall on similar cause campaigns.
