Walmart Shuffles Senior Execs

By Patrycja Malinowska - 10/12/2018

Walmart has moved around several senior managers in its U.S. division to critical growth areas like e-commerce and food, Bloomberg reported.

Kieran Shanahan was named senior vice president of e-commerce retail for everyday living, Tom Ward was promoted to senior vice president of digital operations, and Andrea Albright is replacing Al Dominguez as svp of snacks, beverage and impulse, the report said, citing internal memos.

Both Shanahan and Ward helped expand the online grocery business in their previous roles as vp of online grocery and vp of digital operations, respectively. Both also began their careers at Walmart's U.K. arm Asda, according to Bloomberg.

Albright most recently was vp of home office human resources, according to her LinkedIn account. She joined Walmart in August 2005 as an assistant buyer in ladies apparel and has since held a variety of positions in buying, brand merchandising and product development.

Dominguez is leaving the company after a 12-year stint, Bloomberg said.
