Advantage Solutions Acquires Upshot
Advantage Solutions, Irvine, California, acquired Chicago-based marketing agency Upshot. Upshot will continue operating under its current name as a business unit within Advantage’s marketing division, Advantage Marketing Partners. “By connecting with Advantage’s comprehensive marketing offering, we will be fully and much better equipped to design and execute holistic innovative marketing campaigns for clients,” Upshot president and CEO Brian Kristofek said in a media release.
ItemMaster Teams Up With Walmart
Skokie, Illinois-based content builder ItemMaster Inc., has formed a partnership with Walmart. ItemMaster worked with the retailer to make manufacturers’ complete and verified product records available on Walmart.com, allowing for branded content such as videos and commercials to be accessible to shoppers there. “Today’s shoppers live seamlessly between online and offline retailers and have high expectations and demand information consistency in every aspect of their shopping experience,” shares Michael Murray, CEO & president of ItemMaster.
Inmar Acquires Collective Bias
Winston-Salem, North Carolina-based technology company Inmar has agreed to acquire Collective Bias, Bentonville, Arkansas, through its Carolina Promotions Services subsidiary. A leader in shopper-focused influencer marketing, Collective Bias employs propriety technology to harness consumer recommendations and endorsements across websites and social media. Collective Bias will retain its name and operate as its own entity. Bill Sussman will remain as president of Collective Bias, taking on additional responsibilities as a SVP at Inmar and reporting directly to Inmar chairman and CEO David Mounts. “Combining our social engagement data with Inmar’s retail promotion and POS data will create combined shopper marketing solutions that are even more compelling for our customers and give us the ability to provide a holistic solution for corporate brand and media buying agencies,” Sussman said in a news release.
FFR Merchandising Acquires Pexco’s Chicago Business
FFR Merchandising, Twinsburg, Ohio, has acquired Pexco LLC’s Chicago-based retail display and commercial extrusion business and manufacturing operation. After a six-month transition, the company’s retail and merchandising customers can expect reduced lead times for, and greater access to, new product solutions for P-O-P retail displays and original equipment commercial components. “It ... demonstrates our continued commitment to being the industry’s first choice for innovative merchandising, loss prevention, shrink management and labor reduction solutions,” FFR CEO Stan Burson said.
