Dairy and cheese producer Schreiber Foods, which partners with manufacturers, retailers, distributors and restaurants around the globe, is installing agentic AI capabilities across more than 40 locations on five continents to support sustainable growth and drive innovation.

The company is working with Ascendion, launching a multiyear partnership to transform Schreiber's global operations and software development.

Schreiber's global IT capability centers serve more than 10,000 employee-partners worldwide. The integration will improve decision-making and traceability across its plant network, embedding a modernized ERP environment, and providing regional teams with a more unified way of collaborating.

As part of this, repetitive, high-volume tech work will be passed on to AI agents over time to free up Schreiber's engineers and analysts so they can focus on tasks that require more human judgment and creativity.

The company expects to identify cost efficiencies while increasing operational responsibilities.

"To fuel Schreiber's next era of rapid growth, we are taking a bold, transformational leap forward in how we operate and serve our customers," Trevor Farrell, president of Schreiber Foods, said in a statement. "This technology will empower our employee-partners, accelerate our innovation and allow us to deliver even greater impact at scale."

Sri Kantamneni, EVP and chief information and digital officer, said that while AI is a significant driver of transformation, the real strength lies in how it empowers Schreiber's people.

"We're equipping our capability centers with AI-native tools that elevate our internal service and operational standards. By giving our employee-partners better, smarter tools to work with, we enable them to focus less on manual processes and more on driving customer success and accelerating our growth," he added.
