P&G brandSaver: August 2018
Procter & Gamble went back to school with its August issue of brandSaver.
Distributed on July 29 via Valassis, the stand-alone insert's front page spotlighted Puffs tissues, Pampers wipes and Bounty paper towels. The first interior spread invited consumers to "Rule the School" with the aforementioned products as well as new Crest strawberry flavored toothpaste and mouthwash for kids. The insert delivered $100 in coupons (depending on the market).
Bounty, Charmin and Puffs continued the back-to-school theme with a "College Bound" FSI, while Olay, Old Spice, Secret and Gillette joined for a "Major in Freshness" spread. Always layered on a cause element by touting its #LikeAGirl campaign and the donations it supports so girls don't miss class because of a lack of feminine hygiene products.
In other noteworthy activity,
- Head & Shoulders touted its status as the first hair brand to win a skincare award.
- Align continued touting its new prebiotic and probiotic gummies while ZzzQuil continued supporting its new Pure Zzzs line extension.
- Downy touted new scents and formulations, including Odor Protect and Natural Blends lines.
- Pampers showcased new Easy Ups training underwear.
The event also had representation from brands including Prilosec, Vicks, Oral-B, Gillette, Swiffer, Tide and Herbal Essences.
